The recording of Approved By started Wednesday February 1st 1978, just about one year after the band was formed. The Motors had just finished a five week tour in the USA. Approved By was produced by Peter Ker, Nick Garvey and Andy McMaster and mainly recorded at Pathway Studio, London. Approved By earned The Motors the UK hits Airport and Forget about you. The album itself made it as far as # 60 in the UK Albums Chart. .
