Secretly Canadian said about the album in February 2006: "Damien is also busy wrapping up recording that will ultimately be released as two "sister" records. Setting out to create the ultimate Damien Jurado recording yielded more material than one record could possibly handle. Related imagery, lyrics & song titles link both records at the spine with a tentative fall '06 and early '07 release dates."
For unknown reasons, the sister record of And Now That I'm In Your Shadow has never been released.
