About
A Spy in the House of Love is an album from The House of Love released in November 1990. It was named after the 1954 novel by Anaïs Nin. It is a compilation of B-sides and other studio tracks. "Marble", "Ray", "Baby Teen" and "No-Fire" were recorded during June and July 1989 at Abbey Road Studios as part of 10-song session intended for their Fontana debut. The producer was Paul O'Duffy. At the time, the sessions were deemed to be disastrous, and only one track, "Hedonist", was used on the 1990 "House of Love" album. For this release, the vocals were re-recorded, other aspects were reworked and the songs were remixed by Simon Vinestock.
