A New Morning by Suede

A New Morning is an Alt/Indie album by Suede, originally released in 2002. On Gatefold: 42 pressings tracked, owned by 4 collectors.

About

Written and recorded with Brett Anderson having overcome various addictions, A New Morning sounds understandably wounded but optimistic. Smiths and Blur producer Stephen Street helps shape the band’s sunnier outlook into a rich, elegant collection that recalls 1996’s Coming Up, with its mix of sashaying guitar pop (“Beautiful Loser,” “Street Life”), midtempo anthems (“Lost in TV,” “Positivity”), and stately ballads (“Untitled”). A lot of the drama and darkness may have lifted, but Suede’s alluring songcraft remains.
