Originally released on 1st of March 2013.
«Κατά τον Δαίμονα εαυτού», (∼«Do what Thou wilt») is a phrase of the ancient Greeks.
In ancient Greece the word «Δαίμων» («Demon») didn't have today's meaning, because ancient Greeks didn't have «Devil» (only Christians did many centuries later) Demon was god, fate, destiny and luck. The spirit that protects the soul, the deity that determined and distributed fate and luck, good: «ευδαιμονία» or bad: «κακοδαιμονία». Not a specific god but any god that was honoured, the god protector that lived within a mortal from his birth until his death and protected that person like a guardian angel. It was the "connection" between the living and the divine.
Necromayhem consideres the album "a journey into the knowledge of ancient civilizations and into the occultism that is rising from the dark side of each one of them", with diverse instrumentation, including bagpipes and horns, and delves into Incan, Persian, Babylonian, Mayan, Slavic, and Greek mythology.
