About

恋人へ is Lamp's second release, released on February 11, 2004. Background behind a few tracks 恋人へ The song was presented by Nagai to Someya to be on the album near the end of recording. Someya was initially hesitant about it, but he and Nagai thought having this song kick off the album gives the album a sense of unity. The album was also named after the song. ひろがるなみだ Along with this song and 冷たい夜の光, they were considered for the album, but only ひろがるなみだ made it on to the album and the latter was cut off and later featured on 木洩陽通りにて. Nagai arranged the song and played most of the instruments on the song. It is Someya's favorite Lamp song. 明日になれば僕は 明日になれば僕は was written by Nagai 2 years before そよ風アパートメント201 was worked on. At the time, he did not intend this song for Lamp, and instead recorded it with his old band, which was featured in a four-song demo sent to a demo tape audition which was received well. Some years later, the song was included on the album with Nagai's approval. 愛の言葉 愛の言葉 was another old song. Prior to 恋人へ, the song was included in a compilation called "Tokyo Bossa Nova", with a bossa nova arrangement. It became customary in Lamp that whoever wrote the song would arrange it too, but Nagai didn't like his old songs on Lamp album, so Someya offered to arrange it. 恋は月の蔭に .
